Le présent copyright est celui des distributions BSD (NetBSD,BSD/i,FreeBSD,OpenBSD) ayant pour représentant et titulaire, le conseil d'administration de L'Université de Californie Berkeley. Il a cours pour tous codes issus de 4.4BSD, s'en inspirant ou reposant sur celui-ci. Il ne fait donc référence qu'au code BSD ou tous projets directement liés aux distributions *BSD
